They were filmed on the ad rumors of a new OnePlus in recent days, but none of us knew exactly what to expect. The new model is a OnePlus 3 refresh, called OnePlus 3T, and as the name suggests there are not many differences between the two devices. Having said that, OnePlus Q3 will go on sale in Europe from November 28 to 439 euro (in the US will come a week earlier at the same price in dollars) and will be available in two models, 64GB and 128GB, but this version will cost 40 euro more (479 EUR).
OnePlus 3T is very aesthetically and technically similar to OnePlus 3, so much so that many wonder if the Chinese company has in Serb other surprises for 2017. Just like its predecessor, OnePlus 3T Optic AMOLED integrates a 5.5-inch Full HD display ( 1920 x 1080 pixels, 401 PPI) with Gorilla Glass 4, 6GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM (by adding a new option for 128GB), a camera (16 megapixel sensor Sony IMX 298) with optical image stabilization and a door USB Type-C for charging and data transfer, as well as OxygenOS based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, although OnePlus has already planned the upgrade to Android 7.0 Nougat for either later this year.
The two smartphones have also the same dimensions (152.7 x 74.7 x 7.35 mm) and weight (158 grams), and the same frame made of aluminum with a new gunmetal finish (dark gray) or the usual soft-gold (gold). Do not miss the usual sensors: fingerprint reader, Hall sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor and electronic compass. So what has changed in the new OnePlus 3T?
For starters, OnePlus has added a sapphire glass cover anti-scratch on the lens of the main camera and then focused on power. The most important difference, in fact, is in the processor, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 (instead of the Snapdragon 820) with Adreno 530 and overclocked to 2.35GHz, and therefore is faster than the same SoC found in the new Pixel Google. The front camera (Samsung 3P8SP) goes from 8 megapixels to 16 megapixels and supports electronic image stabilization during video, while the battery reaches 3400 mAh, but still supports the fast charging with the exclusive technology Dash Charge.
As for connectivity, we would like to point out that the European model will support WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, Beidou and LTE (WCDMA: Bands 1/2/5/8, FDD-LTE: Bands 1/3 / 5/7/8/20, TDD-LTE: Bands 38/40).
